Green Machine Smoothie Bowl

 

Veggies for breakfast? Whaaaat? I sometimes get weird looks when I recommend incorporating vegetables into the morning meal but trust me, it can be done! You won’t even be able to taste the spinach and zucchini (which makes it a great option for those who aren’t a huge fan of vegetables!)

Smoothies are a great quick breakfast option and an excellent way to pack a whole lotta’ nutrients one simple meal.

Not a fan of drinking your meals? Either am I. Sometimes when I drink smoothies it’s gone in two minutes and then I’m left wondering what’s next.

That’s where smoothie bowls come in! They allow you to actually sit down and enjoy your meal (which also helps increase digestion and absorption of all the delicious nutrients it contains!)

Not only is this Green Machine Smoothie Bowl super simple and quick to make – it’s full of good carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats to keep you energized and ready for your day.

Ingredients:

· 1 large handful of spinach

· ½ cup plain organic Greek yogurt

· ¼ cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

· 1 small banana

· ¼ avocado

· ¼ cup zucchini, diced

· ¼ tsp. cinnamon

· Optional Toppings: unsweetened coconut flakes, chia seeds, banana slices, blueberries, walnuts, pistachios… the choices are endless!

Instructions:

1. Add all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.

2. Pour into a bowl and top with toppings of choice!
