Foodie Favorites: Thrive Market
Have you heard of Thrive Market? It’s my go-to place to order some of my favorite pantry items as well as toxic-free cleaning and household products. Their mission is to make healthy living more affordable and easier for everyone, and they definitely do just that. In fact, they offer a variety of high quality food items that are 25-50% off the retail price.
What I love the most about Thrive Market is that for every membership, they donate a membership to a low-income family, teacher, student, or veteran. I love supporting a company that is all about giving back to others.
Although there are so many great options to choose from, below are ten of my favorite Thrive staples:
1. Primal Kitchen Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing: I love ranch dressing, but unfortunately many of the conventional versions are loaded with sugar, soy or canola oil, and artificial ingredients. This is a delicious dairy-free ranch dressing that is free from all that junk.
2. Great Lakes Pasture Raised Collagen: Collagen is a protein that is found in places such as muscles, bones and skin. Adding collagen powder to your day is a great way to support your joints, gut, nails and skin. I love adding this collagen powder to my morning coffee, smoothies or yogurt.
3. Thrive Market Grass-Fed Ghee: If you’ve never heard of ghee before, you’re not the only one. Ghee is clarified butter with the milk solids removed from it. It’s great for those who don’t tolerate dairy very well but still want the rich and creamy taste like butter. It’s a great cooking fat since it has a high smoke point of 485°F.
4. Mission Meats Graze Sticks: These jerky sticks are free from sodium nitrates which is a harmful preservative found in a lot of conventional jerky products. Not only do they taste delicious, they are also a great portable protein option that I love to keep at my desk or in my purse.
5. Artisana Coconut Butter: If you’ve never tried coconut butter before, I suggest you do! Coconut butter is made from the “meat” of the coconut and a great source of healthy fats. I love adding it to vegetables (it’s one way I got my husband to eat more vegetables!) or on a slice of dark chocolate.
6. Thrive Market Coconut Milk: This coconut milk has a great consistency and is just made from coconut and water. Coconut milk is a great alternative for cow’s milk and is great in soups, curry, smoothies or iced coffee.
7. Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee: First of all, I hate mushrooms so the thought of drinking this at first scared me. Little did I know how delicious it was! This is an organic coffee mix that makes a great alternative to traditional coffee since it’s lower in caffeine. If you’re trying to cut back on caffeine or avoid the “jitters” that caffeine can create, I suggest you try this out! It doesn’t take like mushrooms either. J
8. Chickpea Pasta: This is a great gluten-free option if you’re looking to swap out traditional pasta noodles. It also contains more protein and fiber compared to other pastas.
9. Coconut Aminos: This is a delicious sauce made from coconut sap. It makes an awesome alternative for soy sauce that I love to use in marinades and stir-fries. It’s gluten-free and lower in sodium compared to traditional soy sauce.
10. Nutpods Creamer: This is a tasty dairy-free creamer that has similar consistency of half & half. Best of all, it’s free from trans fats and sugars found in many other coffee creamers. It’s made from coconut and almonds is available in original, hazelnut, or French vanilla flavors.
